Hola from Queretaro
We have a screwy keyboard here but thought we´d do an update on Mazatlan even though we are now in BEAUTIFUL Queretaro.
We went out looking at more houses with a real go-getter young realtor, and fell in love (again) with a wonderful historic home in Centro. Expensive, but amazing. We really like Mazatlan, and if we could swing it we would love that old home.
Our experience at the B & B, Casa de Leyendas was wonderful. The hosts really made us feel like family and ¨hooked us up¨with people and events that really contribute to our response to the city. We heartily recommend their B & B.
We left Mazatlan at the crack of dawn to catch a 7 am flight to Mexico City. (Oh, and they got up and made us breakfast at 4:30 am) We navigated DF airport with no problem and got a bus to Queretaro that left right away. Three hours later, a quick taxi ride, and we arrived in el Centro.
We can see right away that this is a beautiful, warm city. We have already visited three large plazas. The Centro is closed to cars on many streets and we have been strolling along and soaking up the scene. Tonight there is dancing in the Plaza near our hotel which should be fun.
There is lots more to tell, but the trees and squares make this place very special already. In addition, our son and his wife are celebrating their anniversary in San Miguel this weekend and we might be able to get together on Sunday. That would be wonderful
Hasta luego!

Welcome to Queretaro.
By the way, the shows at plazas take place every weekend all year long
